Brian D. Moore – President V-CARD CV
Mr. Moore has over fifteen years experience as a consultant, and has obtained certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Site Professional, and with the State of New Hampshire as a Licensed Professional Geologist, both licenses remain in-force and in good standing. Mr. Moore has worked as case manager on individual cases, and as a $1M+ portfolio manager for a major oil company, trucking and integrated logistics companies, regional petroleum marketers, municipal entities, property management and development firms, law firms, and other clients, including citizen participation or interest groups. His experience includes providing licensed professional oversight services to clients in the northeast, and further professional services in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. His core expertise includes hazardous waste site assessment and remediation, but he routinely provides litigation support services for law firms and other engineering companies on property-specific and class-specific cases.
Nathan A. Stevens – Hydrogeologist, Case Manager V-CARD CV
Mr. Stevens has over eight years experience as a consultant. He holds a Masters Degree in Earth Sciences (Hydrogeology) from the University of Maine, and has been certified (ASBOG Test) as a Licensed Professional Geologist in the New Hampshire (#757) and Maine (GE495). Mr. Stevens has worked as a case manager on individual retail locations for major oil companies and regional petroleum marketers, and his experience includes large-scale private water supply well sampling programs, remedial system design and installation, and regulatory interface and reporting. He has also prepared forensic-style geochemical evaluations for defensive litigation and site assessment, and has prepared several data management and display systems using Geographic Information Software (GIS). Mr. Stevens has provided review and validation services of potential claims for internal house counsel and other defense assistance.
Marie B. Guiles – Senior Risk Assessor V-CARD CV
Ms. Guiles has over 13 years experience in environmental consulting, including human health and ecological risk assessment work under various state and federal programs. She remains actively involved in the New England Chapter of the Society of Risk Analysis and is an associate member of the Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional Association (LSPA). Her experience includes baseline risk assessments, derivation of risk-based clean-up levels, remedial action efficacy reviews, development of site investigations work plans, and risk calculations in support of deed restrictions and/or remediation. Ms. Guiles? experience includes work on wood-treatment plants, former manufactured gas plant (MGP) facilities, petroleum pipeline and terminal sites, industrial chemical facilities, landfills, and other CERCLA and RCRA hazardous waste sites. Some of the hazardous materials that Ms. Guiles has characterized include petroleum-related compounds, chlorinated compounds, metals, pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). She has also prepared assessments in support of expert testimony by a leading toxicologist.
