Specific experience includes client advocacy during regulatory interface and negotiations, direct and indirect litigation support, property and corporate acquisition assessment, and regulatory and scientific based peer reviews.

Brian D. Moore – President V-CARD CV
Mr. Moore has over fifteen years experience as a consultant, and has obtained certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Licensed Site Professional, and with the State of New Hampshire as a Licensed Professional Geologist, both licenses remain in-force and in good standing. Mr. Moore has worked as case manager on individual cases, and as a $1M+ portfolio manager for a major oil company, trucking and integrated logistics companies, regional petroleum marketers, municipal entities, property management and development firms, law firms, and other clients, including citizen participation or interest groups. His experience includes providing licensed professional oversight services to clients in the northeast, and further professional services in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. His core expertise includes hazardous waste site assessment and remediation, but he routinely provides litigation support services for law firms and other engineering companies on property-specific and class-specific cases.

Brian graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy. He is married with three children and lives in Sherborn, MA.

Patrick C. Korths– Senior Project Manager V-CARD CV

Mr. Korths has over fifteen years experience as an environmental geologist. He is a Certified Geologist in the State of Maine, a Licensed Professional Geologist for the State of New Hampshire, a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a MA Department of Fire Services Approved Third Party UST Inspector. He has extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, site investigations, assessments and remedial design and implementation.

As Senior Project Manager at CarriageHouse, he manages numerous complex environmental cases and provides clients with effective and innovative solutions. His background includes consulting to a range of industries including: educational institutions, municipalities, federal agencies, and major oil companies. Previously, he worked at Camp, Dresser & McKee, S E A Consultants and Handex.

Patrick has a M.S. in Geology from Syracuse University and a B.A., Geology from University of Rochester. He also attended the Hydrogeology Field Camp in Butte, MT where he conducted aquifer test analysis at a Superfund mine tailings site.

Estee C. Schmaltz – Environmental Scientist V-CARD CV
Ms. Schmaltz works with numerous clients throughout New England and New York. Her primary focus is site assessment and remediation work for commercial, industrial, and municipal clients under various geologic and hydrogeologic settings. Ms. Schmaltz is responsible for directing field assessment work employing various types of drilling and multi-media sampling methods and techniques, as well as compiling the associated results for reduction and presentation. Her work includes the logistical and technical support for site assessment work, including mapping and IT/GIS systems management for CarriageHouse.

Her responsibilities also include managing the implementation of program compliance directives for regional petroleum distributors and commercial vehicle leasing clients. Managing this work requires her to continuously interface with local, municipal, and state regulating agencies for procurement of permits and licenses, and manage staff and budgetary requirements to achieve the objectives of the program.

Estee received her Bachelor of Arts from Boston University with a major in Environmental Science and a minor in Chemistry.


Amanda Bucci – Environmental Scientist V-CARD CV
Ms. Bucci works on a variety of projects for CHCI clients. Recently, she completed preparation of an Environmental Impact Assessment for upstream exploration and production activities for a major international oil company. Her ongoing field work includes groundwater monitoring and sampling, soil screening and sampling, as well as logistical and technical support for site assessment work, ISCO, injection supervision and monitoring.

Additional responsibilities include interfacing with local, municipal, and state regulating agencies for procurement of permits and licenses, and managing staffing and budgetary requirements for a variety of client engagements. Amanda's previous experience includes work as an intern with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, a Geologic Field Study on Natural Hazards in Alaska and a term abroad at University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia studying species distribution and geologic histories. Her Senior Thesis focused on Timing of slumping determined from growth asymmetry in Tsuga canadensis, Bowman Creek, Mohawk River watershed, NY.

Amanda received her Bachelor of Arts from Union College in Schenectady, NY with a major in Environmental Studies.


Mary O'Hara Moore – Director
Mary manages CHCI's business operations. She brings over 20 years experience and leadership in sales, marketing and client mangement. She has worked for Deloitte & Touche, The Walt Disney Company, Forrester Research and, most recently, as an independent consultant. She received a BA degree from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. Mary is married to Brian Moore. They have three children and live in Sherborn, MA.

Our company maintains strong partner relationships with other service providers, vendors, and environmental professionals enabling the most flexible and efficient solutions for our clients. In the event additional resources are required to meet our clients’ objectives, we are able and willing to engage these these partners on our clients’ behalf.
